Invitation from PAUS President (Rawalpindi/Islamabad chapter)
I invite you to participate in the ESDR Meeting and witness Islamabad beauties and the country’s potentials. We aim to bring colleagues together from far-off places.
Islamabad has tremendous potential to boost events’ “tourism” on a sustainable basis because of its landscapes and diverse culture. Pakistan has rich traditions of art and architecture. Despite it’s religious and cultural diversities, the country is a cradle of old civilizations. We want to show our national heritage and cultural assets.
"Spead the word" among your team and colleagues!
Looking forward welcoming you in Islamabd

It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you all to the Regional Meeting & Workshop on Urolithiasis (RMWU) jointly organized by the Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons (PAUS) Rawalpindi/ Islamabad Chapter & Experts in Stone Disease (ESD) in Islamabad, Pakistan from September 30th to October 2nd 2016.
This conference is first of its kind to be held in Pakistan. It is devoted to Urolithiasis which has a high prevalence rate in our country. It constitutes almost 50% of the urological work load with many patients presenting with neglected large/staghorn calculi and renal failure.
Thanks to the support of many urological and stone societies (SIU, IAU, ESD, EAU-EULIS, PAUS, U-merge, Society of Surgeons of Pakistan, Pakistan Nephrology Society and many more) we have been able to put together an exciting program, which will address all aspects of stone diseases, from molecule to staghorn stone, from crystal to rock, from diet to surgery, from prevention to treatment.
There will be a multitude of keynote lectures and debates by well renowned national and international faculty, and live commented uncut video demonstrations of the latest surgical techniques on URS, PCNL & RIRS.
The conference is being held in Islamabad which has been declared the 2nd most beautiful capital of the world. Its lush green surroundings in the valley of the Margalla hills make it a place worth visiting. Its pleasant weather, clean air and refreshing aroma is simply matchless. Moreover, nearby Rawalpindi, the twin city of Islamabad, is located on the bay of the river Swan and has its own historical attraction. In the Swan river valley 500,000 years old relics of the Stone Age man have been found, making it the place with the earliest human inhabitation in the region. The center of the Ghandhara civilization, Taxila, is also very easy to reach from Rawalpindi.
We warm-heartedly extend our welcome to you and hope that you will join us in Islamabad for not just a stimulating conference, but also a friendly gathering amongst friends and simply a good time.
